Opensim is a popular opens-source tool for bio-mechanical simulation. The graphical user interface (GUI) can be used for visualizing models and analysing simulations.
However, the core software is written in C++ while the graphical user interface(GUI) is written in Java with in a complex Netbeans Platform project.
Hence, this interface performance is not efficient, nor flexible for customisation. Moreover, many desirable features are also missing e.g. geometry alignment or analysis.
The objective is to develop a user-friendly frontend visualisation tool based on C++, Qt, and VTK.
This makes it easier for both programmer and non-programmer to use and extend easily.
Students and researcher around the world will benefit from such an open-source user friendly interface.
